Bilirubin Total
The Bilirubin Total test measures the total amount of bilirubin in the blood, including both unconjugated (indirect) and conjugated (direct) bilirubin. Bilirubin is a yellow pigment produced during the normal breakdown of red blood cells and processed by the liver. Elevated bilirubin levels can indicate liver dysfunction, bile duct obstruction, hemolytic anemia, or other conditions affecting red blood cell turnover or liver metabolism. The test is commonly used to diagnose jaundice, monitor liver disease, or assess the effectiveness of treatments. Results are interpreted alongside clinical symptoms and other liver function tests. Proper fasting is usually not required, but testing may vary depending on the lab.Reports On : With 90 minuteSample Type : BloodFasting : Not Required Click Here To Book A Test
